Standards

Teachers participating with their classes in the Winter Wonderland Project will have a chance to use a variety of technology tools and programs to engage their students in learning activities related to the winter season. In doing so, teachers will be not only adding to their students' knowledge but may, in fact, become co-learners with their students and peers. ISTE has established technology standards (or NETS) for both students and teachers. As a teacher involved in this project you will embracing at least some of the ISTE NETS for Teachers - specifically standards 1a, 1d, 2a, 2c, 3b, 3d, 4d and 5a will be addressed by a teacher's involvement with the activities on this wiki and you will potentially be learning:

  • How to use a wiki
  • How to use various online tools and application programs
  • How to collaborate and the power of collaboration
